January 8th

The New Year is here and we have New Year resolutions in place sticking to them. One of our biggest New Year resolutions is to slow down and enjoy life a little bit more. We are going to take it easy this year, and cut back on the traveling, and blowing and going every weekend. We are 8 days into the new year and we have done a good job sticking to our resolutions. We have spent the first two weekends doing nothing, but enjoying each other around the house.

Auntie Misty came over and babysat the boys, while Bryan and I went on a date night. We started our night off by leading off a close game of bowling with each other. I will admit Bryan won 3 out of the 5 games we played. After our arms were sore, and I knew there was no way I could come back to take him out, we decided to meet up with some friends of ours for dinner at a local Mexican restaurant.

The month of January Bryce is taking swim lessons every Monday. His first lesson went very well, this class was a trial class for him to make sure he could follow directions like a 3 year old. His coach was very impressed with his strength, and his listening skills. That always makes a mama proud!

Bryce kicked off the New Year learning how to swim, and Isaac kicked off the New Year learning how to give high-fives.
Isaac had is 15 month check up and they were very impressed with how many words he has in his vocabulary. The national average for a 15 month old is to be able to say 3 words, Isaac knows well over 10+ words. (Mommy bragging moment...sorry, should be a big brother bragging moment...because that is where he is learning it from)
Isaac is in the 75% for his height, and 50% for his weight. The only problem with Ike is he doesn't like milk. It's no lie when they say each kid is very different in there own ways. Bryce could drink a whole gallon of milk a day if we let him, and Isaac on the other hand would not drink a cup of milk if it was the last thing around to drink. Isaac is a fan of drinking juice, and ice water. Gotta love that kid!

We are very excited to see what baby number three comes out like. Isaac has a big heart for babies, and Bryce on the other hand...the baby better come out with boxing gloves and tons of strength. :) Speaking of baby number three...from the way I have been feeling we are guessing that it's a girl. Sickness has struck me almost everyday. Not morning sickness, not evening sickness....I never know what time of day I'm going to get nauseous. It's usually anytime after I eat, and last for the rest of the day. It's the worst feeling I've felt better. It's like having the flu over and over again without the fever. I am not 8 weeks and 1 day along and we go to the doctor on the 18th of January for ultrasound. :)

Today we spent the afternoon on Luke Air Force base. March 25th, 2011 Bryan will no longer have ties with the military. His 8 year term will be over. So, we took one last chance to use our military privileges and got Bryce a hair cut on base today.
After driving around a looking at all the different fighter jets we headed over to the class six for one last purchase. Bryan and Bryce ran into 2 airmen, Bryce was so happy that he got to see two really army people...LOL Oh the little things that makes a little kid smile!

  1. I love it! Sounds like a positive start for 2011. We only had the one resolution...loose weight. Already we have blown that one...got a pumpkin pie in the oven right now. What else is there to do on a cold icy day? You know the thought of a little girl makes us very happy. You are right though about the boxing gloves. LOL Love you guys, hugs and kisses from Noni and Papi
